Handmade in Italy, using a single sheet of surgical steel, layered with cotton fabric on both sides. Inspired by glacier goggles from world war one and found in the dolomites. Lightness and durabilty. Lenses are class 3, by Carl Zeiss optics, obviously 100% UVA and UVB safe.
